How to determine the equation of a hyperbola with finite poles.

I have to determine the equation of the hyperbola with finite poles; and I’ve seen that in each cartesian plane there is a point $O$ which satisfies the equation:
$$\frac{x^2}{a^2}+\frac{y^2}{b^2}=1.$$
A hyperbola is an example of a conic section, and indeed, some conic sections have finite poles, for example ellipses.
I found many articles and they explain how to determine the equation of a hyperbola with infinite poles, for example this one, but I didn’t find any article or proof showing how to compute the equation of a hyperbola with finite poles.
I think it is easier to understand if I explain my problem a little more:
Imagine I have the unit circle $\mathbb{S^1}$ and I draw on it several points which has the property that the line $y=x$ passes from $A$ to $B$ in those points. Imagine I draw also another circle $\mathbb{S^1}$ and I draw on it these points too, but the line $y=x$ passes from $A’$ to $B’$ in those points. Now, the first circle represents the hyperbola with finite poles, and the second one is the hyperbola with infinite poles.
How can I determine the equation of the first hyperbola when I know the coordinates of the points on \$\math
